I really love all of your books! I only started bying them on the weekend and I've finished all three in a few days(I'm a fast reader but I couldn't put them down!). Glitter is probably my favourite because the ending isn't expected (for me anyway) and unlike some stories I've read, it doesn't sound made up. It's talking about now because of the credit crunch and I think it's a really amazing book!I also really like your cover for 'Glitter'! It's really nice. [Apr 26th, 2012]

If you like this, then you might like A Million Angels and Shine. Or Cathy Cassidy's and Jacqueline Wilson's books. [Feb 9th, 2012]

This book is amazing. I bought it in a book shop three days ago and started to read it immediately. It starts off talking about a little rich girl called Liberty and her 18 year old brother Sebastian that live in a posh boarding school. When Liberty's dad loses his job she and her dad move into a grotty flat somewhere new. She's forced to go to a new school where she makes some new friends and discovers that you don't need money to make you happy.
Liberty had always wanted to play the violin but her farther got angry every time she mentioned having lessons. In the end she learns the truth why her farther didn’t want her to play.
It's a great book full of emotion. It was the first book I read by Kate and I loved every bit of it. Now I have read the other two books and can’t wait until the next one comes out in June. [Oct 30th, 2011]

I thought that this book was amazing. It was one of the best books I have ever read. I think that it really was happening and when I took my head out of the book it just felt like I was (and still am) so lucky to have the life I have. We were going caravanning and I bought the book then on the way back home (it took 3 hours) I just kept on reading and my friend that was with me said lots of questions but I was just too into the book to hear. I didn't know you had a website until I looked and i also saw you had two more books, and not just glitter. I was really hoping you had more books and you did. I think you are a great author and i can't wait to read them. [Sep 10th, 2011]A Million Angels - Reviewed by Emily aged 11 from Citencetser

“Shine” is a story based on two key characters. They are Tiff and her mum. Tiff is a 12 year old girl who is polite and well behaved. Her mum is a super glamorous and demanding lady who always gets her own way. Tiff and her mum and are like best friends they do everything together but when Tiff finds out that all her IPods, laptop and the rest of her presents from her mum were stolen goods, her whole world turns upside down. When Tiff’s mum goes to prison she is forced to live with her aunt and uncle on The Island of Sark. Whilst Tiff is on Sark, her whole personality changes instead of being and spoilt and glamorous she changes into a family orientated one and loves to play her friends. Will Tiff ever see her mum again?
My favourite part of the book was when Tiff goes to her mew school and meets new friends who care for her and are very sweet, but not everyone is nice to her. When Tiff meets her mum’s enemy’s daughter at school her life becomes dangerous for her.
I really enjoyed this book because it’s an uplifting story which begins with a huge disaster and ends with a new start for everyone. I also think Kate really connects with children in her stories. A great girly read for girls of 9+ about being let down by those you depend on. [Sep 1st, 2011]

i have to say that i totally agree with "unknown 12 london" the book was amazing!!! i think it covered all the emotions that there are. sometimes libertys worried then confused, and sad and ecxited and angry and happy, and at one point in the story, i actually cried!kate maryon painted amazing pictures in my head and i could imagine every little detail! i will not say what happened but i absolutley loved the ending. what liberty and her dad did in the end would be a scary thing, but the way kate maryon wrote it, it did'nt feel scary at all. you can tell that its a special thing for liberty.
I would recomened this to anyone between 9-12 and i think that even people who dont really like books, would enjoy this just as much as a film.
when i was reading glitter, i felt like i was in libertys world, and that i was expereriencing everything she was, and it was an amzing feeling.
i loved this book and cant wait to read the next one!
please keep writng kate maryon - all the best of luck xxx [Aug 26th, 2011]
